What I learned from my 1st Recruitment as an Entrepreneur

My first recruitment project was entirely different from what I was used to. Specifically, I recruited a textile worker, a tailor-cutter, for Ateljee Mandil in the cultural field. This experience opened my eyes to new challenges and taught me several important lessons that form the foundation of my entrepreneurial journey.

First important lesson: The importance of communication in the recruitment process

Although I was used to active correspondence, I had to understand that constant and quick responses are necessary in recruitment. As a recruiter, it is my responsibility to ensure that all parties are informed and that I am always available for questions. I adhered to this, and it reinforced my belief that clear and open communication is key to success in any business activity.

Second lesson: The importance of proper contracts and negotiation skills

Having already prepared a contract template for the company (even before the website was ready and social media channels were set up), I was able to express my terms professionally and clearly and ask for feedback from the employer. It is important to remain open to changes in the contract. I also realized that negotiations are a crucial part of the process, and finding a mutually agreeable price is key to ensuring long-term cooperation.

Third and perhaps most important lesson: Increased confidence and the desire to collaborate with others

In the very initial stages of starting my own business, it all seemed daunting. I constantly wondered if I was ready to act independently, but this project boosted my confidence and conviction that I am on the right path. I also realized that success doesn't have to be achieved alone, and having the courage to ask for help and involve others is very important. Therefore, I sought help and involved my good friend Helena, who is ready to support me in marketing and communication.

In summary, I can say that from the experience of implementing my very first independent recruitment project, I learned a lot, even if the project was not large! Every recruitment project is unique and exciting in its own way. The entire process only inspired me to continue the journey I have undertaken as an entrepreneur. Starting a collaboration with Helena gave me confidence and proved that together we can achieve more than I could alone.

I am extremely excited about what the future holds - excited about the challenges that await me and what the world of entrepreneurship has to offer. I believe that every experience, whether positive or negative, is a very valuable lesson.

P.S.! Feedback on the recruitment can soon be read on the homepage! Hopefully, this will also encourage other employers to get in touch with us and start a collaboration!
